How to Buy a Smart Fortwo
You're in the market for a new car, but not just any car, a two-seater with a purpose. While you're aware of some of the popular models--Mazda Miata, Porsche Boxster--you may want to consider buying a Smart Fortwo, a "member" of the Mercedes Car Group.

1
Determine what you're looking for in a new car. Four tires and a steering wheel are a requirement in any automobile, but you may need a specific transmission type or want all-power options.
-
2
Choose the Smart Fortwo model that best suits your wants and needs. The Smart Fortwo is available in two coupe models--Pure and Passion-- and one convertible model--Passion Cabrio. The "Pure" is the base model, with the "Passion" and "Passion Cabrio" being built upon it, offering more standard features and options.

3
Locate and visit a dealer near you that sells the Smart Fortwo. Unlike General Motors or Ford dealers that are abundant, a Smart Fortwo dealership may require you to drive a distance to get to. Call ahead to make sure there are cars available for you to test drive.
-
4
Ask about delivery and financing options. While your local dealership may have a Smart Fortwo for you to test drive, you can reserve and build your personal car online and have it shipped to your dealer when it's complete.
-
5
Design and buy your Smart Fortwo. You're going to have a choice of six colors to pick from for your new car's changeable panel--black, yellow, white, blue, red or silver--and another color choice for the safety cell--black or silver. You can choose your options above the standard options available on the model you have chosen in Step 2.
