How to Draw a Wine Bottle
A wine bottle is a simple enough shape to draw, but if you look at an actual bottle you'll see that it's a complex canvas of shadow and bent reflection. Taking on the wine bottle drawing step by step helps you get an accurate sketch.

1
Draw the top (the mouth) of the bottle by making a slightly rounded top (with the arc bending upward). At either end of the arc draw a line goes straight down. You can add a ledge on either side if you want to draw a wine bottle that has a ringed lip just below the mouth of the bottle.

2
Continue to draw the rest of the bottle by drawing making a fairly straight neck that swoops into the main part of the body. Draw a transitioning curve from the neck to the main body of the wine bottle on one side and then copy it on the other side, before you move on to the lower parts of the bottle. Place your pencil vertically in the center of the bottle to make sure that the two sides swoop with the same slope. Make corrections if there's deviation.

3
Draw the rest of the bottle with two straight lines that round slightly at the bottom of the bottle.
-
4
Add detail starting at the mouth of the bottle where you should draw a very thin horizontal oval (that's almost a diamond with round edges instead of sharp angles) to represent the mouth of the bottle.
-
5
Insert the large reflections you see in the bottle you're sketching from. Make the drawings of your reflections in light pencil. Then go back and shade the entire bottle, leaving the reflections lighter than other parts of the bottle.

6
Add the label of the bottle and take it as an opportunity to add some realistic detail. Make sure that both the top and bottom of the label curve upward to show that the label wraps around the bottle and isn't flat.
