For those of you who love your iPods and VW, your day has come. Now you will be able to hook the iPod into your Gamma/Beta/Delta head unit and actually take advantage of the dials on your car's stereo system.

Difficulty: Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Start the installation of your iPod to the VW with a Gamma/Beta/Delta head Unit by removing the VW radio. Use the VW removal keys that come with your vehicle. The keys are also available through the car dealership.

  2. Step 2

Take out the screw that is on the left side of the radio's back, slip the ground cable in place and then replace the screw.

  3. Step 3

Insert the male end of the CD player into the dedicated port for the CD changer.

  4. Step 4

Hook up your iPod to the Gamma/Beta/Delta head unit. You may have to purchase a connector that will fit into the delta unit and the iPod.

  5. Step 5

Actuate the controls on your iPod by using the dials for the stereo buttons or the controls located on the VW steering wheel.

  6. Step 6

Use your iPod Nano, Video, Mini, iPod 4 and iPod 3.

  7. Step 7

Look for the cables that connect to your Gamma/Beta/Delta head unit. You will find that there is more than one brand. However, all of the interfaces work similarly and have the same installation steps as those described above.
