The gangsta limp is a macho swagger which is characterized by a swinging, distorted limp. Now considered a symbol of status in some circles, the gangsta limp must be perfected to avoid looking silly.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Wear a pair of loose baggy pants with a belt, but make sure your pants are low enough that your boxer shorts are revealed above the waist line. Remember, you are trying to keep your pants up. To emanate a gangsta style, coordinate your baggy pants with an oversized t-shirt that hangs to mid-thigh.

  2. Step 2

Walk with your dominant leg straight and stiff. Lift your hip slightly as you walk, as if you are trying to keep you baggy pants from sliding down your thighs. When you take a step with your opposite leg, lunge slightly into a limp. To accentuate the authenticity of your gangsta limp, you may consider placing your hand on or over your groin as you limp.

  3. Step 3

Twist your upper body slightly towards your dominant leg as you walk, while at the same time lifting your elbow which is opposite your dominant leg. Your hand should remain in towards your body, your fingers spread slightly in a half throw-down position as your elbow lifts.

  4. Step 4

Take your next step, sliding your straight dominant leg ahead of you and touching your heels together at the middle of the step. Twist forward again, this time dropping your elbow. Repeat to complete your gangsta limp.
