How to Delete a YouTube Account

YouTube is one of the most popular websites on the Internet for viewing videos. It was created in 2005 and has become a hangout for web surfers from all over the world. But if you've had enough of this time-killing phenomenon and wish to delete your YouTube account, it's not a hassle at all.

Instructions

1. Bring up a new window on your Internet browser. Navigate to the YouTube website by typing the URL into the address bar and clicking enter. Allow the YouTube homepage to load.

2. Click "Log In" in the top right corner.

3. Type in your YouTube username and password, and then click "Enter." Wait for the next page to load and click "Account" at the top of the page.

4. Notice on the next page there are numerous links to chose from. Scroll down to the Account section and click "Delete Account."

5. Enter your password in the appropriate place on the next page. Enter a reason for deleting the account, and then click "Delete My Account."

Tips & Warnings

• Deleting your YouTube account will limit the videos you can watch on YouTube.
• Try to log back on to YouTube using your deleted account username and password to confirm the account has been deleted.
• If you decide to reactivate your account, you will likely need a new username.
