Kinderwhore was a style popular in the 1990's, and perpetuated by rock singers such as Courtney Love. The term kinderwhore refers to a style of dress that is reminiscent of childhood, but much more provocative, sexy and trashy. The look is affordable, and the clothes can be bought at thrift stores and consignment shops.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Baby doll dresses
  • Slips
  • Lingerie tops
  • Stockings or lacy socks
  • Mary Janes
  • Chunky boots
  • Red lipstick
  1. Step 1

Shop at thrift stores, consignment shops and yard sales for baby doll dresses, fishnet stockings, lingerie tops, slips and collared schoolgirl type dresses.

  2. Step 2

Choose baby doll dresses with puffy sleeves or large bows. Pick slips and lingerie tops with low-cut necklines. Pair the tops with slip skirts that you rip slightly.

  3. Step 3

Rip the dresses slightly in various places for a true kinderwhore look. The best places to do this is near the hemline or where the dress flows at the bottom.

  4. Step 4

Match the dresses with fishnet stockings, colored pantyhose or lacy ankle socks. Rip a few little holes in the pantyhose. Wear either patent leather Mary Janes, or chunky leather boots.

  5. Step 5

Apply deep, red lipstick and smear it slightly onto your face. Dark eyeliner is also good for the kindewhore look, and should be lightly smeared. Complete the look with a couple plastic child's barrettes in your hair, near your bangs.

Tips & Warnings
  • For a true kinderwhore look, bleach your hair and wear it slightly messy.
