How to Make a Dailymotion Video

Dailymotion allows users to post their own videos. Although Dailymotion encourages users to share funny videos, they also accept videos that focus on news, entertainment, auto, travel, news and more. Make and upload your own Dailymotion videos in a few short steps.

1. Join Dailymotion. Before making your own videos, register with the site. Registration is free and only requires some basic information about yourself. If you're an aspiring filmmaker, create a Motionmaker Account.
2. Look at the featured events on the Dailymotion homepage. Make a video that you can post in this category.
3. Use your digital video equipment to make your Dailymotion video. Many people use Quicktime to manage and upload their digital videos.
4. Upload your video to the Dailymotion site. Select "Upload" from any of the site's web pages to get to their uploading tool.
5. Find the video on your hard drive and then save it to Dailymotion by clicking "Send." Describe and title your video during upload. You need to indicate if the video is viewable by everyone or limited to private view.
6. Track your Dailymotion video. After you upload a video, look for your comments and ratings posted on your Dailymotion profile page. If you want to delete a video that you have posted, you can do so from this area as well.

• If you are a MotionMaker, you can submit your video as creative content. Your video is then reviewed by Dailymotion to determine whether or not it will get featured on the site.
