How to Collect Marie Osmond Dolls

Marie Osmond, entertainer and 1970s icon from "The Donnie and Marie Show," is a long-time doll lover. She grew up to display her love and artisanship of dolls by designing her own line for the L.L. Knickerbocker Company with a successful debut of her dolls on QVC in August of 1991. She quickly earned her place in the doll-collecting world and hasn't stopped since.

Instructions

    • 1

Collect Marie's fine porcelain dolls from the early years which include "The Four Seasons" series, "Classical Beauties," "Dear to My Heart," "The Velveteen Rabbit" series, "Greeting Cards" series and many others such as the "Miracle Children" series, inspired by Marie's love and support of the Children's Miracle Network.

    • 2

Crash the Beauty Bug Ball and assemble all the guests invited by Marie's "Queen Bee" doll, crafted in 1996. Collect "Damsel Dragonfly," "Sir Stink Bug," "Count Cocky Cockroach," "Baroness Von Beetle" and a number of other fashionably dressed, insect-inspired guests to attend the ball with you, all finely crafted in porcelain and cloth. By invitation only, please.

    • 3

Gather a baker's dozen of rose-inspired dolls from the "Coming Up Roses" series, including the tenth anniversary doll named "Remember Me." This series featured toddler-sized dolls named after popular roses such as "American Classic," "Peace," "Yellow Rose of Texas" and "White Christmas."

    • 4

Bring home miniature versions of Marie Osmond's larger dolls if you have limited space or finances to collect their larger counterparts. Many of the popular toddler sized dolls such as the gorgeous "Amaya," "Beary Best Friends," "From Caterpillars To Butterflies" and "The Wizard of Oz" series are all available in the much smaller Tiny Tot versions. Many are affordably priced as well.

    • 5

Indulge your sweet tooth and collect the "Too Sweets" tot collection, which includes 12 tiny dolls centered on a dentist's delight of candy-themed dolls (without the cavities). Collect these dolls with names like "Cherry Crdial," "Divinity," "Raspberry Cream" and more all sculpted by Eddie Mosqueda. Get this collection's three-tiered candy dish to properly display this sweet confectionary collection.

    • 6

Dance along with Marie Osmond by collecting the "Adora Belle" dolls featuring the costumes from Marie Osmond's "Dancing With the Stars" performances on ABC. Collect "Adora Samba Belle," "Boogie Woogie" with a military outfit, "Adora Fox Trot Belle" and "Start Me Up" doll with a pink dolly dress, to name few.

    • 7

Decorate a Christmas tree or other nooks and crannies with Marie Osmond doll ornaments. Not every doll is fashioned as an ornament, but many favorites, such as Victorian-inspired dolls and the "Coming Up Roses" series are available as ornaments to collect and hang on a tree or elsewhere.

Tips & Warnings

  • Marie Osmond also offered the "Beauty Bug Ball" dolls in affordable vinyl versions with trendier costuming, and even tinier 5-inch "Bitty Bug Ball" porcelain versions of the original series sculpted by Linda Henry.

  • Collect Marie Osmond dolls by artist instead of by series. Collect dolls sculpted by Sonja Bryer, Karen Scott, Beverly Stoehr, Joke Grobben and many others depending on what artistic style appeals to you most.
