The peace sign is known the world over. Originally made famous during the 1960s, it has come to symbolize the wish of society to live in greater harmony. Whether you're throwing a theme party or want to make a statement with a piece of artwork, the peace sign is easy to draw.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Pen, pencil or marker
  • Paper or surface to draw on
  1. Step 1

Draw a circle on the paper. If you have trouble making a perfect circle, trace an object. Depending on the size, everything from a coin to a soda can to a large food can will do the trick.

  2. Step 2

Sketch a line through the middle of the circle.

  3. Step 3

Make an upside-down "V" from the middle of the line you just drew. If it helps to visualize it, turn the paper upside down so you can make a normal "V". You have just completed drawing the peace sign.

Tips & Warnings
  • To make a peace sign with your hand, simply hold up your index and middle fingers as if you were signaling the number two.
  • Add colors and other decorative drawings in and around your peace sign. One thing is for sure--with a peace sign, anything goes.
  • You may also add shading to give your peace sign depth. Also, try making the lines of your peace sign thicker so that they stand out from the page.
