One of the most commonly asked questions about the service is how to change Netflix preferences. Whether you want to change your address, adjust the number of DVDs shipped to you at a time or switch to HD discs, here is how to change your Netflix preferences.

Step 1

Go to the Netflix homepage and log in with your username and password and then click on the Continue button.
Step 2

Choose your account. A link near the top of the page gives you the option of changing your account options. This is where you change your Netflix preferences.
Step 3

Select the item of your choice. From the account screen, you can change your shipping address, set up profiles, and change payment options, passwords and membership plans. You can also view your billing and rental history to see what movies you've already rented.
Step 4

Change your account preferences. Toward the bottom of the screen is where you change your Netflix preferences. First you have the option to change your format preferences. This is where you go to change to HD discs or Blu-ray format. You also have the option to add or remove newsletter subscriptions, or enable the extra movie information and a drag-and-drop queue.
