If you love water, but wish you could add some flavor to your beverage of choice, the easiest way to accomplish this is by squeezing some lemons and placing the lemon juice in an ice tray in your freezer.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Ice trays
  • 7 to 9 fresh lemons, 10 to 11 limes, or 2 to 3 peaches
  • Juicer (with spout)
  • Sharp knife
  1. Step 1

Buy between seven and nine fresh lemons.

  2. Step 2

Cut each lemon in half. At this time, get our your juicer and plug it into your wall outlet.

  3. Step 3

Take a half slice of lemon in one hand and press down on top of juicer. The juicer top will begin to turn one way, while the lemon juice falls into the plastic or glass cup below.

  4. Step 4

Repeat the above step until all lemon halves are squeezed into juicer. Now, take the top off the juicer and begin pouring lemon juice into a freezer tray.

  5. Step 5

Move the juicer pour spout over all the open ice tray slots. When all the slots are filled, place in the freezer for 1 day.

  6. Step 6

Remove lemon ice cube tray from freezer. With two hands, on separate ends of ice tray, twist until lemon ice cubes become dislodged. If ice cubes will not come loose, wedge a sharp knife in between the frozen lemon juice and the wall of the ice cube tray.

  7. Step 7

Place one or two pieces of frozen lemon in your glass of water. Drink your flavored water and enjoy!

Tips & Warnings
  • This is nice to do beginning in the spring and summer months
  • If you are pregnant, and you drink lots of water every day, adding lemon to your water will make it more enjoyable.
  • Fruit flavored ice cubes can also be made lime juice or peach pieces. When making lime ice cubes, use the same method, only juice 10 to 11 limes. For peach ice cubes, use two or three white or orange peaches; add about 1/2 tsp. of ascorbic acid to one or two bottles of water to keep the peaches from turning brown, stir and pour over peach pieces.
