Step 1
Hold the strut between your feet to stabilize it for assembling the parts back on to it. Install the lower spring perch. The lower spring perch is the circular area toward the bottom of the strut. First, place the spring perch rubber over the top of the strut and line up the step on it with the perch to allow it to sit properly and seal.

Re-install the bump stop. This will slide over the top of the strut and down the shaft a little. Leave room at the top for the upper strut nut reassembly. The bump stop needs to be with the larger side to the top and the more narrow to the bottom of the strut shaft.

Look for the end of the coil on the weather boot and install this over the strut shaft, with the coil end facing down toward the spring perch. The weather boot will rest on the bump stop and cover the strut shaft, creating a housing.

Step 4
Install the upper spring rubber. Set the new strut mount on top. Line up the flat part with the "D" shape. Line up the spring and give it a little squeeze to ensure everything in its proper place. Once that is done, you can start the upper strut nut. Tighten this down with your hand as far as you can. Then continue tightening with a torque wrench to the torque specifications listed in your vehicle repair manual.
