How to Share a Satellite Internet Connection
Sharing a satellite Internet connection can be useful in coffee shops, diners or even in the RV park. Internet sharing is one of the most useful ways to establish a network amongst several users. You will need a main computer or server that directly connects to the satellite. To become a hot spot, the client also will need a WiFi adapter.

Establish a computer to set up as the main sharing server. This computer should have a direct connection to the Internet and have appropriate network and WiFi software loaded to share the Internet connection.

Use the sharing server computer to connect to the local area network, or LAN. This sharing server will be the host for all other computers on the network.

Connect other computers on LAN in order to connect to the Internet. This will be done through the Internet protocol, or TCP/IP.

Install the appropriate software on the main computer in order to share the single Internet connection. This computer should be connected to the Internet through an Ethernet or USB connection.

Set-up additional computers to enable Internet sharing on the LAN through the sharing server. Password protect shared connections to prevent hackers.

Tips & Warnings
Use 802.11b or 802.11g server to project the Internet signal.
Use either a broadband (high speed) modem or dial-up modem.
Password protect a shared network if file sharing in order to protect all users' computers.
Don't add too many connections to a shared network. This will slow Internet speed.
Don't share private information, credit card numbers or passwords over a shared network.
