Nothing says summer like a BBQ. Attending a BBQ at the park or hosting one at your home can be a great way to spend the day. In order to have a good time you need to make sure that you have all of the supplies and equipment you need at hand so you aren't missing anything once the festivities get started.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Babecuing at Home

Step1
Decide if you'd like to invite friends, family and neighbors over or if you'd just like to have a small BBQ.
Step2
Craft a menu for the BBQ. Think of the appetizers, salads, main course and dessert that sound tasty and fun. Look online and in cookbooks for new recipes and ideas.
Step3
Make a shopping list. Be sure to consider your menu, what you already have in your house that you can use and how many people will be attending. Be sure to include paper plates and plastic cutlery if you don't want to use your own dishes.
Step4
Check the propane tank on your BBQ to make sure you have enough fuel to cook all of the food. If you don't have enough propane be sure to add it to your shopping list.
Step5
Get your shopping list together and go to the grocery store and pick up all of the foods and other items that you need to have a successful BBQ.
Step6
Light your BBQ and start the fun.

Barbecuing at the Park

Decide if you would like the BBQ to be a small affair or if you would like it to be more of a party. Once you decide what type of BBQ you would to have, make a list of all of the people that you will invite.
Step3
Create a menu. Gather ideas from online sources and cookbooks. Think about what types of foods are easy to serve at a BBQ.
Step4
Make a list of everything that you are going to need to take with you to the park. Check around your house to see what items you already have and what you will need to add to your shopping list.
Step5
Make a shopping list. Be sure to include non-food items that you will need to make your BBQ a success. Remember to make sure that you have ice for your cooler.
Step6
Pack up everything and head to the park for some fun.
