Full of action and filled with, fun doubles squash makes the route to a healthier and fit body a blast. Playing doubles squash requires different skills and attitudes than playing singles, since you must work with a partner to form a cohesive unit.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Choose a partner who possesses squash moves and skills you lack. If you play backhand better than forehand, pick a partner who plays better at forehand. If you're a shot maker and not much as a runner, hook up with a runner. Keeping the team balanced makes for a winning combination.

  2. Step 2

Learn to move in the court with four people. Go behind the opponent when your partner hits the ball. That way you avoid a hinder, which stops a volley and a potential score if your partner's hit appears unreturnable.

  3. Step 3

Rotate constantly to the front when your opponent hits the ball.

  4. Step 4

Volley whenever possible. Keep moving in the court to keep the opponent off-balanced.

  5. Step 5

Use straight drop, lob, middle drive, tickle boast or wide cross-court shots when up front on the court. This places you and your partner at an advantage with less chance of getting a stroke against you.

  6. Step 6

Move on the court at all times. Stay on your toes, not your heels. Think it's your shot as your opponent hits the ball. Think that the ball always comes to you even though it goes to your partner. This keep you ready.

  7. Step 7

Learn tactics by watching better players. Go online and study doubles strategies. Then practice them on the court with your partner.

Tips & Warnings
  • Read the doubles squash rules.
