Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Internet Explorer 7.0
  1. Step 1

Open Internet Explorer 7.0 and go to a webpage that you would like to be able to visit offline.

  2. Step 2

Choose the "Favorites" menu and click on "Add to Favorites" to bring up the "Add Favorite" dialog box. Rename the webpage if you would like by keying in the name in the "Name" box.

  3. Step 3

Click to check the box before "Make available offline" in the "Add Favorite" dialog box. When you do this, the "Customize" button to the right of the statement will become accessible.

  4. Step 4

Click the "Customize" button to bring up the "Offline Favorite Wizard." This is where you will set up the web page to be accessible offline. Click the "Next" button to begin the wizard.

  5. Step 5

Verify that the name and URL of the webpage you want to make available offline is correct. If it isn't correct, press the "Cancel" button in the "Offline Favorite Wizard" to return back to the "Add Favorite" dialog box where you can make any corrections.

  6. Step 6

Decide if you want to make the links from the webpage available offline, as well, and click the corresponding "No" or "Yes" radio buttons. If you select "Yes," you can now specify how many pages, or levels, deep you want to set the links offline. Click the "Next" button to move on to the next step in the wizard.

  7. Step 7

Select whether you want to synchronize the offline web page with online changes only when you tell it to or on a certain schedule. If you choose the option of a schedule, the next page will take you to a place where you can set up that schedule. Click the "Next" button to move on to this page or to move on to the final page which will ask you to input a password, if required, for the site. The "Finish" button and the "OK" button will close the "Offline Favorite Wizard" and "Add Favorite" dialog boxes and add the web page to your favorites so you can browse it while offline.
