Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Moisturizer
  • Base concealer
  • Cosmetic brush
  • Skin tone concealer
  • Foundation
  • Translucent powder
  1. Step 1

Apply moisturizer to your face, taking care to thoroughly cover the area under your eyes. This will help the concealer go on smoothly.

  2. Step 2

Prep the undereye area with a base concealer. Apply using a small, firm concealer brush. Choose the right shade to neutralize the dark circle. For blue or purple circles, use a base concealer with yellow undertones. For red undereye circles, use a green one.

  3. Step 3

Brush on a skin tone concealer. Use one that is a shade lighter than your foundation. Be liberal with the application, and don't ignore the area between the bridge of your nose and your eye. This is the darkest part of your face. Lightening this area will also make your eyes look larger.

  4. Step 4

Apply foundation as usual over the concealer.

  5. Step 5

Set the concealer and foundation with translucent powder.

Tips & Warnings
  • Many concealers come in a palette with a yellow or red primer and one or two skin tone shades.
  • An eye cream than contains vitamin K may strengthen the capillary walls below your eyes, diminishing dark circles.
  • Laser treatments are now available for a more permanent solution to undereye circles See your dermatologist to determine if this treatment is right for you.
