Step 1
Wash your face and hands thoroughly before you begin to apply any makeup. The eyes are a particularly sensitive area, and they are prone to being irritated and infected.

Choose eyeliner and mascara that will have a particularly dramatic effect and make your eyes pop on stage. Black is a common choice for rock star makeup because of the dramatic effect it offers. Play around with other bold colors to see what you like best and what will work best for the look you're going for.

Stand in front of a mirror and tug gently at the corner of your eye and apply the eyeliner you've chosen. For the best effect, start from inside of your eye and move out when you apply the eyeliner.

Dip mascara a couple of times and remove any excess before applying it to the eyes. Add it to the top and bottom eyelashes with a few quick strokes.

Wash and dry your hands to remove any excess oils from your skin before you polish your nails.

Push in the cuticles to make sure they aren't exposed.

Apply two coats of a top color of your choice using only three strokes, one down the middle and then one on each side. Wait a few minutes after you apply the first coat of polish to let it dry before you apply the second coat.

Add a thin, quick-drying top coat to the nails and let it dry. This will help prevent any chipping of the polish. You can't be a rock star with chipped polish on your nails.
