How to Practice Capoeira

If you are interested in an activity rich with historical significance, then capoeira is the art for you. Capoeira was first developed by slaves in Brazil and blends martial arts with dance moves. When you practice capoeira, you show off your martial arts skills without causing any harm to your partner. Read on to learn how to practice capoeira.

      Study under a person who is familiar with capoeira. You can either decide to sign up for a class or learn the moves on the street with players who know the game well.

      Familiarize yourself with the most basic moves. Before you play capoeira, you should know how to perform the beginner moves. You should know how to do martial arts kicks and sweeps. Your lower body is most often used in capoeira.
