You are driving to work or on your way to drop the kids off for school or accidentally cut someone off in a traffic jam, and the other vehicle honks their horn at you and starts to involve you in their road rage. Here's what you do...

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging

Things You’ll Need:

  • focus on yourself and safety
  • confidence in yourself
  • calamity

Step1
Get out of their way the best you can.
Step2
If they continue to follow you or antagonize you, do not pull over and do not continue on your route to your home, business, friend's house, etc., even if you are running late or in a hurry.
Step3
If you lead these type of people to where you are headed, they may decide to come back and harass you or worse. Do not put yourself or passengers in more danger.
Step4
While the person is throwing obscene gestures at you or yelling out their car at you, or cutting you off, stay calm and Do Not imitate their driving tactics.
Step5
If it becomes very bad, you may have to pull over in a parking lot or on the side of the road. If this is not possible, lock your doors, do not let them near your vehicle and call 911 if they do approach you or you feel unsafe.
Step6
If you do not feel safe pulling over, drive towards a police car, police station or courthouse. If you are in a traffic jam, you can attempt to ignore the other driver but be aware that they may continue to harass you , call 911 if they do.

Tips & Warnings

  • Do not put your life in jeopardy.
  • All driving cases are different, therefore you may have to do something differently, but most importantly, do not lead the wreckless driver to your home, place of business, or your children's school. If you can, automatically drive towards the police department.
