CIRCLE RULES FOOTBALL is played on a circular field with a goal in the center. One team scores through one direction, one through the other. Around the goal there is smaller circle, roughly the size of the center circle on a soccer field, called the key. When playing with 4 or fewer to a team, players are allowed to cross through the key, but may not touch the ball inside the key. When playing with 5 or more to a team, only a designated goalkeeper from each team may enter the key. The keeper may touch the ball inside the key, but may not score for his/her own team.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Field
  • Two Teams
  • Swiss Ball
  • Goal
  1. Step 1

All players may touch the ball with any part of their body, but may not hold the ball or rest the majority of their weight on the ball. Physical contact between all field players is like basketball: go for the ball, not the person…but stationary screens are allowed. Goalkeepers (when applicable) have full contact with each other, but striking and submission holds i.e. armbars, leglocks, chokes, triangles, are strictly forbidden.

  2. Step 2

Penalties either result in an indirect touch for the opposing team, or a one minute power play for the opposing team, with the fouling player sitting out. When a goal is scored the scoring team goes to the center of the field, inside the key, and kicks off in any direction they choose. They may not leave the key until the opposing team has touched the ball.

  3. Step 3

THE GAME BALL is a swiss ball, a body ball, a yoga ball, or an exercise ball, whatever you want to call it. It should be between 45-75cm in size.

THE GOAL should be no wider than a soccer goal, and no narrower than one meter across, and 9 ft high.
