Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
- Arylic Paints in a variety of different colours
- Paintbrushes, fairly large
- an Easel or item to prop up the canvas to paint on
- Any size of Canvas, your choice
- Cup of Water
- Palette of some sort, an artist palette to a piece of cardboard
- Use your sense of colour and creativity
Step1
Dip Paintbrush into your cup of water and wash it thoroughly until it is completely wet.
Step2
Add paint colours to your palette and choose them one at a time with different paintbrushes for each colour...smear your paintbrush onto the palette and then onto the canvas...
Step3
The Creatvity: Paint your brush side to side and up and down and up and down to create a "checkerboard" of colours...
Add colour to the inside of the box-like creations that you make....
Step4
Finish the painting when you feel that it looks write...
Acrylics dry fast so you will have a Masterpiece in the making very soon!

on 2/15/2008 You have to be able to hear it to play it and see it to paint it, right? As a photographer, I think the best photos are when you see it your mind and then create an image at the absolute best moment. I think, even for abstracts, you have to have some idea (if only color) before you start.
