The Quick Launch toolbar in Windows provides a quick way for you to leave all of your most favorite applications in one area for easy access. You can easily add items to this toolbar by going through the following steps.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Windows XP
  • Windows Vista
  1. Step 1

Make sure that your Quick Launch toolbar is showing by right-clicking on the taskbar, go to Toolbars and make sure "Quick Launch" is checked.

  2. Step 2

Open up Windows Explorer and navigate to the folder that contains the item you wish to add to the Quick Launch Toolbar.

  3. Step 3

Right-click on the item and choose "Create Shortcut."

  4. Step 4

Drag the shortcut to the Quick Launch Toolbar and drop it in.

  5. Step 5

The toolbar will now update and show you the recently added item.

  6. Step 6

To delete, simply right-click and choose "Delete" from the toolbar itself.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can add as many items as you wish.
  • Do not overcrowd the toolbar. They won't be labeled so it'll be difficult to figure out which icon belongs to which program if they look unfamiliar.
