By default, Microsoft Word is set for single-spacing. If you wish to enable double-spacing, please follow these steps.

Things You'll Need:

  • Microsoft Word XP/2003
  1. Step 1

    Launch Microsoft Word and make sure you are looking at a blank document.

  2. Step 2

    On the top menu, click on 'Format' and choose 'Paragraph.'

  3. Step 3

    Under the section 'Spacing,' for the option 'Line Spacing,' simply choose 'Double-Spacing' instead.

  4. Step 4

    Click on 'OK' and start typing. Your entire document will be double-spaced now.
