- An internet connection or a mobile phone that accepts text messages
- A twitter account

Step 1
Twitter Home PageOpen up a Twitter account by registering. Click the button that reads "Get Started - Join".

Twitter registration screen.On the registration screen, fill out the information and click the button labeled "I accept. Create my account".
You are now a twitter member. -
Step 3
Your Twitter PageYou should already be logged in after you register, however if you are not, click on the "Sign In" link and sign in with the username and password you just created. You should now be at YOUR twitter page.
You could type something in and hit enter, which is called "twitting", however since nobody is following you, no one will see it. You need to get people to follow you.
The best place to start is to start following existing members, and as a courtesy they usually follow you. -
Step 4
You can find people to follow one of two ways. You can invite your friends to join twitter, which is a good way to keep in touch with everybody, or you can click the link "public timeline". A list of active twitters will be displayed. Click on their username and then click the "Follow" button of the users you want to follow.
You can start by following me. My link is located in the resource area of this article. Click the link labeled "Follow Me" below, then once you get there, click the "Follow Me" button.
