How to Temporarily Block Your Phone Number

There are times you want to call someone and you don't want your number to show up on the Caller ID. It couldn't be easier to do.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Just your phone

Step1
Test this first to make sure it will work from your phone.
Step2
Dial *67 from the phone you want to use to block your phone number and call another phone to do the test to see if it will block your number from your phone.
Step3
It it works correctly, you can now use *67 to temporarily block your number for that one specific phone call.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you want to permanently block your number, call your service provider and they can issue a line block.
  • If you hit redial to call back that number, the
  • 67 might not work. Dial the number again manually instead of hitting redial.

on 2/8/2008 Gotta love *67!! Just remembering how to use it is a trick sometimes. but worth the effort. Be advised some people and services will not answer a call that is blocked, like the "privacy manager." Good tips!
