Wearing scarves is an easy way to add individuality and creativity to your daily office wear. Adding a scarf or two to your outfit also lets you stay warm in the winter. While there are many ways to wear and tie a scarf, one of the most creative is to twist to scarves together.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 different colored scarves of the same length

    Tie a One-Knot Twisted Scarf

  1. Step 1

Hold both scarves by one end, letting them hang down side by side.

  2. Step 2

Make a simple overhand knot while holding both scarves at the same time. This will hold the two scarves together.

  3. Step 3

Twist the two scarves together to make alternating bands of colors. Twist the scarves tighter if you want shorter, more frequent bands of colors, or twist them loosely if you want wider bands.

  4. Step 4

Hang the twisted scarf over one shoulder with the knot about 6 inches from the top of your shoulder. Let the second end of the scarf hang down your back and enjoy the compliments you receive all day.

  5. Tie a Two-Knot Twisted Scarf

  6. Step 1

Add interest to your one-knot twisted scarf by tying a knot in the second end of the scarves. This will keep the 2 scarves together and also give you an alternative way to wear your twisted scarf.

  7. Step 2

Place the twisted scarves over your shoulder with the middle of the scarf at the back of your neck.

  8. Step 3

Drape the scarf symmetrically (with both sides even) or asymmetrically (unevenly) for even more fun with the twisted scarf.
