How to Pick Up a Girl at a Lesbian Bar

Most large communities have at least one lesbian bar. A lesbian bar is a favored place in the gay community for picking up girls. Because lesbians are able to openly be themselves in such places, lesbian bars are safe havens to engage in the dating game without the risk of offending a potentially heterosexual girl. If you're planning to visit a lesbian bar, you should learn how to pick up a girl while you're there.

    Instructions

      • 1

Strike up a conversation with an available girl. You may have to approach several girls before you find one who's willing to chat with you. Don't be discouraged, as this is normal for a lesbian bar. Once you've found a girl to talk to, chat about something safe and neutral, such as school or the town you're in or the latest movies that have come out.

      • 2

Buy her a drink, and then buy yourself one, too. This is a good way for the two of you to relax and become more comfortable with each other. She may also be impressed by your willingness to spend money on her.

      • 3

Ask her to dance if there's music. It's important, however, to start with an upbeat dance that doesn't involve a lot of touching. Once you've danced a few fast dances with her, you may then ask her to slow dance, if things seem to be going well.

      • 4

Suggest going somewhere quieter. This should be a more isolated part of the bar, or a place outside on the sidewalk. Make sure you stay within eyesight of other people, so that she remains comfortable. Once you're in a quieter place, you can engage in deeper conversation.

      • 5

Reach out and touch her. Don't overdo it, though. Just a light touch on the arm or hand a couple of times during the conversation is enough to convey your interest.

      • 6

Complete the pick up. If your chosen girl seems to like you and appears receptive, ask her for her phone number and give her yours. Then, be sure to call her within 24 hours to ask for a real date.

    Tips & Warnings

    • Be well groomed and dress as sexily as you can before you go to the lesbian bar, but don't try to be anything you're not. Girls appreciate a person who is genuine, and will see through any attempts you may make to create a false impression. So, if you're a jeans and t-shirt kind of girl, don't show up wearing a slinky dress and high heels. You'll look uncomfortable and potential dates will find this unattractive.

    • When you talk to a girl at a lesbian bar, chances are she'll know you're trying to pick her up. Set yourself apart from all the other women there by avoiding any obvious pick-up lines when you initiate the conversation.
