Sometimes a writer experiences a time when the words are not flowing. There are other times when writers just don’t make writing time a priority in their schedule. By allowing these things to happen, their writing gets off track along the way. The following are some ideas to get your writing back on track and they are simple enough to do every day of the year.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Rejuvenate yourself through meditation or have a cup of relaxing tea. Do whatever it is that will wake up your creativity and give you energy and focus to write.
Step2
Set goals for writing. What directions are you feeling led to go in with your writing? What do you want your writing to say about you? How much of an income do you need from your writing? Examine your heart, wants and desires as you begin to write your goals down on paper.
Step3
Make a writing schedule for yourself, and keep that special time for you and your writing. The time you have to write may be different from day to day, but having the time set will push you to write.
Step4
Have a calendar with your deadlines written in. By seeing this every day, it will give you energy and excitement to sit down to write daily.
Step5
Writing prompts can be used to start your writing time. These can be found online or through books on the market. Another idea is read the news. Then take one of the news pieces and rewrite the story.
Step6
Reading daily is vital to keeping knowledge flowing through your creative mind.
Step7
Get involved in a writer’s group to help keep the focus for your writing. The wonderful creativity that flows through those meetings cannot be gotten anywhere else.
