Instructions

    • 1

Set up the game for play. The Wheel Reference cards should be placed nearby. These cards will help players identify the icons on the wheel as the game is played. Deal each player seven cards. The remainder of the cards should be placed face down in the center of the wheel to be used as the draw pile. Turn over the top card of the draw pile and place it in the space for discards.

    • 2

Start play with the person to the left of the dealer. The first player must match the card on the discard pile by number, color or symbol. He may also play a wild card. If a card in his hand matches the card in the discard pile, he may lay his card on top of the pile.

    • 3

Take a card from the draw pile if there is no matching card in your hand. If the card you just picked up can be played, play it. If it cannot be played, it must be kept in your hand and play moves on to the next person.

    • 4

Spin the UNO Spin wheel if the player before you plays a Spin card. Once the wheel stops, follow the instructions for that icon. Almost UNO -- you must discard all but two cards. Discard Number -- choose a number in your hand and discard all cards of that same number. Discard Color -- choose a color in your hand and discard all cards of that same color. Draw Red -- draw until you pick up a red card. Draw Blue -- draw until you pick up a blue card. Trade Hands -- all players must trade hands, passing to the left. Show Hand -- show your hand to all other players. War -- each player must select the highest number card of any color in their hand and lay them down at the same time. The player with the highest card gets to discard the card he played. UNO Spin -- the first player to yell "UNO Spin" gets to discard one card.

    • 5

Yell "UNO" when you play your second-to-last card. If you forget and another player catches you before the next play is made, you must draw two cards.

    • 6

Win the round by being the first player with no cards left. Win the game by being the first player to score 500 points. Points are given to the winner of each hand by adding up the totals of cards left in all other players' hands. Number cards are face value. Draw Two, Reverse and Skip cards are 20 points. Wild cards are 50 points.
