This is most useful when comparing two different hard drives or testing raid configurations.
If you don't do the quick speed test make sure the temp file gets deleted when you finish.

The most important number for desktop users is the AVG/s. This is in average MegaBytes per sec. Right now sata interfaces are rated up to 300MB/s but you never get close to that unless you run a raid configuration. Like i said in the tips, this info is most useful when comparing 2 hard drives, 2 computers or different raid configurations.
