How to Win a Dream Home From HGTV

Take a chance at winning a picture perfect home by entering the Home and Garden Television network's Dream Home 2008 Sweepstakes. One look at photos of the professionally designed home, and the GMC Yukon Hybrid SUV that's also part of the deal, and you'll want to enter every day. The value of this home and car combination is $2.2 million.

1. Go to the HGTV website and click on "Sweepstakes" at the top of the home page. This will take you to information about the HGTV Dream Home 2008 contest, including photos and 360-degree online tours of the oceanfront home.
2. Check out the home by looking at photos and tours, and read about Plantation Key, the community in the Florida Keys where the 3-bedroom Dream Home is located. It was constructed as part of an eight-home development called The Shore at Islamorada, which includes a community pool and boat slips.
3. Enter the contest by simply clicking on the entry link. You will be asked to fill out some general contact information, and HGTV will also ask if you want email newsletters from the network or from the Food Network. There's no obligation to sign up, and the newsletters are free anyway.
4. Increase your odds by entering every day. This is a popular sweepstakes, because it's been around for several years and has had time to create a buzz. To make the entering easier, disable your cookies and you will only have to fill out your email address after your first visit to the site.
5. If you want to see the HGTV Dream Home up close and are planning a trip to Florida between now and early March, tours are being conducted of the home. Check the HGTV website for more information, but the tours are conducted seven days a week, and tickets are $20 per person. All proceeds are being donated to the Florida Keys Children's Shelter.
