Things You'll Need:
- Install a program on your windows computer

Step 1
Go to the web address below and download the iPod Tracker software.

The software is available as a free download. -
Step 2
Install the software and run the program.
Make sure that you plug in the iPod cable and it gets a connection to the iPod so the program also installs there. -
Step 3
The program will install to the iPod when you connect the cable, if your iPod is stolen then the person will plug it into their pc and the program will execute upon connection, read the iPod serial number the computer's name and it things aren't correct it will report it to a website where you can backtrack the ip address of the machine your ipod is plugged into.

on 3/14/2008 What if the thief reformats the ipod once he gets it back to his criminal hide out in the mountains? Won't that also just erase the itracker program as well, thus rendering the ipod 'clean' and thereby untrackable? Or what if the evil mastermind behind the whole ipod ring doesn't have access to the internets (which Al Gore invented)? Or if he/she/it has a security program running at their criminal base station which alerts them when a program is about to be installed and/or access the internet via their evil server?
I'm not so sure about this itracker stuff.
