There are many pool games like Marco Polo or Water Volleyball, but one game that not many know about, and can be a lot of fun, is the swimming game Toothpaste.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Know that this game can be played with as many people as you would like, but the fewest number of players is three.

  2. Step 2

Know that one of the players is designated the “leader” and winner of each round gets to be the leader for the next round. To decide who the leader is the first round, have a short race or play rock, paper, and scissors to decide.

  3. Step 3

Have the leader head to the farthest side of the people as the other players head to another. The larger the pool the better because in the end, it is a race to see who wins.

  4. Step 4

Have all of the players agree on a simple category like animals, food, movies or any other thing. Then the leader picks something in their head from that category.

  5. Step 5

Guess what it is until the players have guessed the right thing.

  6. Step 6

Know that once one of the players has guessed the right thing, the leader will signal to them and the race will begin.

  7. Step 7

Race towards the leader who is waiting for their arrival. Whoever reaches the leader first shouts toothpaste and is declared the winner. In case of a tie, they restart with a new category and object.

  8. Step 8

Once a winner is declared, they become the next leader and the game starts again. You can add different variations on the game too, like having the leader pick two objects and each person has to pick one to be able to race.
