Billabong is a lesser-played poker game with play similar to Texas Hold’em. Just follow these simple rules to introduce it to your weekly poker game!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Standard deck of playing cards
  • 3 or more players
  • Poker chips
  1. Step 1

As in Texas Hold’em, the first player to the dealer’s left places a small blind bet and the player to that player’s left places a big blind bet. Each player is dealt three cards face down and one card face up, followed by a round of betting started by the player to the left of the big blind.

  2. Step 2

After the round of betting, three community cards are dealt face up in the middle of the table. There is another round of betting, this time started by the player to the dealer’s left.

  3. Step 3

A fourth face up community card is dealt, and the player to the dealer’s left again starts another round of betting.

  4. Step 4

The final face up community card is dealt, and the final round of betting is started by the player to the dealer’s left.

  5. Step 5

At the showdown, the player who can make the best 5-card hand using a combination of 3 or 4 hole cards and 1 or 2 community cards is the winner and takes the pot.
