Step 1
Sign up with webnode. You can choose to publish free using a webnode subdomain, or you can publish on your own domain. You must already have purchased a domain name (or buy one using Webnode) and have web hosting set up for that domain if you choose the second option. You'll need to know the DNS information and the FTP information for publishing on the domain you plan to use for the web site you are about to create.

Choose one of several two- and three-column templates to begin your page. It is also possible to use your custom template instead of one of their page designs.

Move about among your pages using the Go to Page option.Completed pages appear, which you must edit bit by bit to hold your content and your images. You have a suggested set of pages, based on the template you chose. Use the "Go to Page" option to move about in these pages and make the changes you want. You can add or delete pages.

A complete range of text editing tools are available.Drag the Text and Images icon onto a page in any position you want. When it is in place, click Edit content and add any text or media you want.

Step 5
All sorts of Content suggestions are ready to add to your pages.Various types of Content are provided that you can easily add to each page. You have choices as to fonts, forums, lists, articles and a number of available widgets. This content can be inserted in any appropriate place.

Step 6
Upload files and images from your computer.Tools for uploading files or images from your computer are provided in the Miscellaneous options. In the same area, the Settings options let you customize the header, footer, contact information and RSS settings.

Using the edit CSS option, you have easy access to all off the CSS rules and can change them as needed.

Step 8
When you click Publish, the entire website will be published in your chosen location. To update or add to the site, sign in to Webnode and you can work on your site. Since everything is web-based and stored at Webnode, you can work on your site from anywhere.

on 1/11/2008 I wouldn't agree with the info in the step one. I am a webnode user for a couple of days and it worked even if i didn't have my own domain. The site you are creating is available on http://[username].webnode.com.
