Step 1
Maintaining immaturity throughout your life is a worthwhile goal. It ensures that you are filled with humor and can see the bright side of any given situation. When I say immaturity I mean immaturity in a mature manner. Huh?

Step 2
I don’t mean immaturity where you don’t or refuse to pay your bills or refuse to look for a job despite having seventeen kids to raise. Nor do I mean that you are immature when it comes to decision making. I mean that immaturity involves invoking humor when you are in or see a situation that you describe to someone else.

Step 3
While I am on the road for my job I am professional and take seriously what I do. But when the other team members and I are together I am immature. I talk about anything and everything. I explain flatulence; the texture, smell and anything associated with it. I enjoy talking about things that are immature in nature. One of my teammates asked how someone so intelligent can be a dumb ass and so immature. That just makes me laugh more and talk more.

Step 4
I believe the key to maintaining your immaturity stems from talking about issues that are taboo in society. Not controversial topics but funny topics that are proscribed. Flatulence and buggers, urine and feces are some of the topics that I probe and talk about. I know that sounds gross but in the vein I use it in, most people would not feel uncomfortable, but they may add to it.

Step 5
I think it should more inherent in the male species than the female but I could be wrong because I have met some immature women. I would have thought that the educational level was indicative of people’s immaturity level but I was proven wrong by a few of my teammates that hold four year and six year degrees that can be grossly immature.

Step 6
Another way to keep your immaturity is to hang out with other immature people. The bond will last a long time and the subject matter would be comical. Even if you give your significant other silly stares or dress up funny for their amusement, immaturity plays it part.

Step 7
To reiterate the act of not paying your bills or neglecting your family is not what I mean when I speak of immaturity. Playing around, kidding around only when seriousness is warranted.

on 3/20/2008 Hear hear! I'm a firm believer in seriously never being serious. Or is that never taking seriousness seriously? Either way, the world is as ridiculous, funny and amazing as it was when I was a kid, so why stop viewing it that way?
