There are a few tips here to get you on every ride you want to ride at Disneyland. The best thing to do is know where you are going. You’ll want to see everything and ride everything, but our goal here is rides, not parades.
Study your map! Know which rides you want to go on first--the big ones! Know where you are going and any obstacles (parades, performances) that you may encounter on your way.
Step2
Start in one “Land” and work your way around the park to each land. Finish the rides in one land before traveling to the next. You will get on more rides in less time.
Step3
Go to the biggest ride in each land first (look for the FAST PASS symbol) next to each ride. If the line is long, get a FAST PASS, and go to every other ride in that land that you can. For example, get your pass at Space Mountain. You have an hour before your ride, so go on the Autopia Cars, check out the Innoventions, and your pass is ready for Space Mountain.
Step4
Utilize the Disneyland Railroad whenever possible. There is a stop at Tomorrow Land that will take you to Toon Town; and another stop at Adventure Land to take you back! If the park is crowded, this is the fastest way to get to a faraway land! The train will stop every 10 to 15 minutes at each stop, and stops at every land in the park!
Step5
Utilize parade times for maximum “Big Ride Time” Parades. Almost everyone else in the park is watching them, except for those with Summer Night Passes. If you live near Disneyland, this is the best way to see the entire park, ride your favorite rides, and avoid the morning-afternoon crunch.
Step6
Summer Night Passes will get you in the park every day of the summer after 5 p.m. It great way for teenagers to spend their summer nights and be in a safe place!
Tips & Warnings
If you are a first-timer to Disneyland, be sure to plan a 3- to 5-day trip. Pre-Trip: Study your map, all rides, food venues, souvenir shops, character shows and parades (see current schedule on their website) that you want to see, plan your days accordingly.
Remember, parades are your friends; utilize the time wisely!
Avoid long food lines. You'll keep better ride-management by eating at the Carnation Place or the Dog Haus.
