Standing on your feet for long hours cuts down on your circulation and causes pain. The goal here is to stimulate circulation through a few easy steps. Naturally, it is very important to wear comfortable shoes. High heels or badly fitting shoes will make the situation much worse. High heels can also lead to lower back pain and strain.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • mineral salts or epson salts
  • peppermint foot lotion
  • a basin
  • a towel
  • 15 - 30 minutes

Step1
Soaking feet in salts After standing for extended periods or exercise: place a towel on the floor near a comfortable seat, recliner or sofa.
Fill the pan with hot water (as much as you can stand) and place it on the towel and soak your feet for 15-20 minutes. Towel dry.
Step2
Peppermint foot lotion for cooling Massage in peppermint foot lotion. It feels cool and refreshing and helps stimulate circulation as did the hot foot bath.
Step3
Elevating feet on a stool, desk or couch. Elevate your feet for at least 1/2 hour. Do it longer if possible. Try to have your feet higher than your heart so that the fluids that have pooled up in your lower extremities can drain.

Tips & Warnings

  • Keep your feet in good shape and your whole body feels refreshed. Your health is not just in your hands but in your feet.
  • Don't get peppermint lotion in your eyes. Wash your hands and nails carefully.
