Being a fan is something that is fun to do, whether alone or with a group such as your family, friends and anyone who share the same passion as yours. You can be a fan of a show, a celebrity, a product, a sports figure and even the entire sports team. Here are some tips on being a really good fan.

  • Something or someone you idolize (celebrity, sports figure, sports team, a movie or a show.
  • Fan Club membership

Step1
To be a fan you need a subject of your adulation. It could be a person or a product. Celebrities such as famous actors and actresses, famous sports teams such as basketball or football teams, a movie, a show or a popular computer game are a few examples of what you can be a fan of.
Step2
Patronize their movies, buy every new CD released by your favorite singer, watch every game of your sports team, buy the latest release of games that you are a fan of. Being a fan means you will also invest some money to be able to avail of things pertaining to your idol.
Step3
You need to keep yourself up to date with all that is going on with your idol. Buy magazines and get more information on the latest and greatest on your idol.
Step4
Be a fan club member. Look for fan clubs that are already in existence and then join these clubs. You may also opt to create a new fan club on your own and dedicate to all the fans of your idol. Offer memberships so that you can share stories, personal photos and forums about your idol.
Step5
Be loyal. A true fan will stick through thick and thin to its idol. No matter what the outcome of the latest sports match a true fan will always root for its favorite sports team.

  • Spend wisely.
  • Do not spend all your life savings just to buy products pertaining to your idol.
  • Be a good fan by not losing touch with reality.
  • Do not stalk your idol. Get help if you are tempted to do so.
  • Do not get into fights with opposing fans, as being a fan should be fun and not dangerous.
