One of NBC's newer game shows is the trivia competition "1 vs. 100," hosted by comedian and actor Bob Saget. The series is a fun way to enjoy television time with the entire family, some of whom could even get the chance to appear on the show by completing an application. The following steps show how easy it is to audition for an opportunity to win a huge cash prize.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Camera
  • Internet
  • PDF Reader, such as Adobe Reader
  • Video Camera
  1. Step 1

Visit the NBC website for "1 vs. 100" to learn when open casting calls will be held in an area near your residence. If any are scheduled, follow the instructions provided for what to bring and when and where to bring it.

  2. Step 2

Save a copy of the online PDF application for "1 vs. 100" on your computer if no casting calls are available in your area or you prefer not to attend one. The application is available at the NBC casting website.

  3. Step 3

Complete the extensive application thoroughly by answering every question in legible writing. If a section doesn't apply to you, instead of leaving the relevant space blank, write "Not Applicable" or "N/A" in the area.

  4. Step 4

Make a video of yourself that demonstrates why you would be an interesting contestant on the show and what you would do with any money you win. The tape should be about five minutes long, with clear audio and visuals. Review the suggestions on the NBC casting website for ways to make the video more effective, such as being as creative as you like.

  5. Step 5

Label the tape with your name, mailing address, and telephone number in legible writing.

  6. Step 6

Locate a recent photograph of yourself to include with the other materials. If you can provide both a close-up and a full-body photograph, that's even better, though not required.

  7. Step 7

Write your name and telephone number on the back of the photograph(s), as well.

  8. Step 8

Submit the entire finished application as soon as possible to the mailing address indicated at the NBC casting website.

Tips & Warnings
  • Contestants on "1 vs. 100" can be as young as nine years old.
  • Once you have appeared as a contestant on the show, you can't compete again unless the producers ask you to return for a special event.

  • "1 vs. 100" will not return any videotapes it receives, so make a copy of all video submissions beforehand.
  • Each applicant should not submit more than one application package.
