SmugMug has been around for over 5 years. It keeps four backup copies of all your photos and videos and offers unlimited storage and photo sharing galleries.

If you aren't already signed up, go to smugmug.com (see link below) and join. It costs $39.95 a year for a standard account, $59.95 a year for a power user account, or $149.95 for a professional user account. Professional users get watermarking and theft protection services, as well as help with sales if they want to sell their photos for download.

Use SmugMug to make backup DVDs of your photo, enlarge your photos, send photo email, post your photos to blogs or forums, and do minor editing such as cropping and enhancing.

Use SmugMug to upload high resolution photos from your camera. You can also upload photos from your phone.

Let your friends know where they can see your photos on SmugMug. Your friends don't have to be a member to see your photos. You get your own URL on the SmugMug site. Pick a URL that will be easy for your friends and family to remember.
Your URL can also be accessed with an RSS feed, a feature that many of your friends and family may find very helpful. Each time you upload new photos, they will be notified.

You don't have to do anything special to enjoy the new "SmugMungous" features of the site. Your viewers can resize their browser window and your photo or video will automatically resize too. Your images also automatically resize to fit the screen when they are viewed on phones or mobile devices.

Use your photos to create gifts at SmugMug. You can create prints, mouse pads, coffee mugs, luggage tags, ceramic tiles, and all kinds of items using your photos.
