Being a teenager is hard enough, and having acne just makes it worse. Most acne products are geared towards girls and thus, it can be hard for a teenage boy to find out what to use to treat his acne. Plus, while there is makeup for girls to cover up their pimples, there's not much out there to help boys hide acne. Here are some tips that will help in treating acne.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Use a gentle cleanser.

  2. Step 2

Use a toner. Find one that is gentle and won’t over-dry your skin.

  3. Step 3

Use medicated spot treatments to help dry up the pimple. There are medicated spot treatments that are skin-toned and, if fully rubbed into the skin, will help hide the pimple while treating it.

  4. Step 4

Use oil-free moisturizers. Put less moisturizer on your T-zone (chin, forehead and nose area) as that’s where most of the oil builds up.

  5. Step 5

Use a deep pore cleansing mask at least once a week. This will clear out your pores and help prevent the development of new pimples.

Tips & Warnings
  • Some of the above steps might "scare away" some teen boys, but if you do it in the privacy of your own room, no one will know! Also, many men these days are getting into facials (and other such spa-type procedures) to help make their skin healthy, so there’s nothing wrong with starting young. Plus, good grooming will attract the girls!
