Visit the Microsoft Office Online website.

Click on the "Downloads" tab.

Locate the button marked "Check for Microsoft Updates" and click on it.

Select "Express" on the "Microsoft Update" Web page.

Review all of the updates that are high-priority. If you want to select from all available updates, choose "custom."

Wait while your system is scanned for all available Microsoft product updates. This may take anywhere from a few seconds to several minutes. It will depend on the last time you did an update and what type of a connection you have to the Internet. The more often you do the updates, the faster this process will be.

Click "Install Updates" on the Web page displaying all available updates for your system
The time will vary depending on how many are downloading and what your Internet connection is. -

Restart your computer after the updates have finished for them to become effective. Select "Restart Now" to complete the update, or select "Close." If you select Close, you will have to restart your system at some time to finish the update.

Tips & Warnings
The first time you do an update, you could be required to install Office Update Installation Engine (or other ActiveX Control). Follow the directions provided to complete this installation.
If you have any type of a "popup" blocker on your computer, you may have to disable it (or allow popups) to complete your Microsoft Publisher update. Enable it as soon as you have finished.
