Start by understanding angle one and angle two. These are slashing, downward angles at your opponent's neck and head from the right and left, respectively.
-
2
Follow an attack from the one or two angel with a horizontal slash to the hips or torso. An attack such as this from the right is an angle three attack, while from the left is an angle four attack.
-
-
3
Stab or jab directly into the front of the attacker to perform an angle five attack.
-
4
Swing your weapon up to the lower left or right side of your opponent's hips or lower torso in a diagonal motion across his body to attack along angles seven and eight.
-
5
Attack straight up from the ground toward your opponent, directly to his groin for an attack along angle number nine.
-
6
Think about where each swing leaves your weapon after it has struck your opponent. This will define where your next attack should come from.
