Instructions
  1. Step 1

Integrate multiple styles. Growing up, Bedingfield explored various kinds of musical styles and genres, giving her an ability to synthesize different kinds of music into her songs. Bedingfield has a significant background in rock and even gospel. However, the important thing when trying to sing like Natasha Bedingfield is that you integrate and fuse musical styles.

  2. Step 2

Sing smooth but slightly raspy. Bedingfield's big ballads such as "These Words" show off the singer's flowing, honey-like voice. However, if you listen to some of her other songs such as "I Bruise Easily," you'll hear that Bedingfield uses the naturally raspy quality of her voice to sing certain lyrics in the form of a whisper.

  3. Step 3

Work on your range. Bedingfield's vocal range is impressive, if not outright stunning. The singer can span octaves quickly and flawlessly, giving her singing some of the qualities of the great pop divas. Bedingfield, like all great singers, wasn't just born with her range but worked on it for years as a member of a choir and a Christian rock band. Put some hard work into your voice to improve your voice.

  4. Step 4

Do some duets. Natasha Bedingfield has done dozens of duets with other young singers. She also done extensive backup singing, giving her experience working with and understanding harmony. In many of her songs, she sings over tracks of herself, using her experience with duets to add a few more layers of music to her music.
