Step 1
Use sunscreen or sun block on the hands. Sun damage causes most wrinkles and often people forget about the hands when applying sunscreen. Use it most days, since the hands are exposed to the sun daily, even when doing simple things like driving.
-
Step 2
Wear protective rubber or plastic gloves when cleaning. Cleaning products like bleach and dish soap will severely dry out the hands. Dry, coarse hands make wrinkles look worse and age a person even more.
-
Step 3
Keep hands warm in cold weather with warm gloves. Once again, cold weather can severely dry out hands and make wrinkles look much worse.
-
Step 4
Moisturize hands. This is done by washing hands with a mild soap, not bar soap. Also, apply lotion every day, and don't forget to exfoliate.
-
Step 5
Take advantage of modern technology to make a drastic change in the age of hands. The intensity and cost of treatments vary greatly, and there are many to choose from. Try an over-the-counter chemical peel or retinol cream, which can be purchased for around $20. Microdermabrasion kits can be purchased for home use for at least $40. Laser ablation can be done by a doctor, but may cost several thousand dollars.
