How to Use Dust Remover
Dust remover is one of those cool inventions that never gets the credit it deserves. It helps keep electronics clean and running and sanitizes work areas. Dust remover comes in several sizes and configurations, but it typically is a can (about the size of a shaving cream can) with a long nozzle attachment. It is built for getting into hard-to-reach areas and cleaning out the collected dust.

1
Attach the long nozzle to the can if it isn't already. If the nozzle isn't attached, the compressed gas scatters easily, and it won't work as effectively as it should.
-
2
Aim the can's nozzle at the area to be cleaned. If you are cleaning a general area, keep the nozzle several inches from the surface. If you are cleaning out a small crevice, such as under a keypad, try to get the nozzle down into the area.

3
Hold the can upright at all times. If the can is tilted, the gas mixture will be compromised. If you see a white film forming on the surface of the object being sprayed, then you have the can at too steep of an angle. The white substance is propellant, and should you spray it all out, the dust remover will stop working (even if the can is brand new).

4
Spray short, quick bursts rather than longer, sustained ones. Not only will this prolong the use of your dust remover, but it is also better for the surfaces that you are spraying it on.

Tips & Warnings
Be careful when using dust remover near sensitive surfaces or skin. People call it "canned air," but in reality it is a mixture of several gases and can easily cause a chemical burn on your skin.
