How to Sign in to SBC Global Email Remotely

SBC Global has recently merged with Yahoo! to form AT&T Yahoo! As a result of the merger SBC Global customers can now access all features of Yahoo through their SBC Global account. Even if you are away from home, it is easy to log into your SBC Global account and retrieve your email remotely.

Instructions

Step 1

Using a computer or cell phone browser go to the SBC Global website and click on the link in the upper right corner labeled "Mail."
Step 2

Find the section that says "Are you away from home?" and enter your email address and select "sbcglobal.net" from the drop down menu to the right of the email address field.
Step 3

Enter your email password in the field provided for that purpose and click the "Sign In" button.
Step 4

Log out of your SBC Global account when you are done reading your email. Because you are accessing your account from a computer or cell phone that does not belong to you it is important to log back out of the account when you are done.
Step 5

Consider clearing the cookies on the computer you are using to access your email if it is a public computer and you are worried about the security of your account.

Tips & Warnings

As a result of the merger with Yahoo! you can also access your SBC Global email through the Yahoo! email website if you wish.
It is best not to open any emails that come in from people you do not know. These emails could contain viruses.
