Putting a Time Capsule together is easy and fun to do as well. You can begin adding items to your time capsule at the beginning of a new year or whenever is a good time for you. Here is how I put my time capsule together.
Time Capsule I Purchased
First thing you need to do is purchase a time capsule of sorts. This time capsule shown here is big enough to fill one or two years and it is a neutral color so any person can use it.
Step2
Items in My Time Capsule
Here are some of the items I have bee adding to my time capsule since 2005. Yes, it is not much, but these are things I want to look back at in the future and smile or cry about.
Step3
My Local Newspaper on the Date my Twins were Born
One of the items precious to me is my local newspaper with the date my twins were born and all the events that took place in that day that will be of interest, maybe, to my daughters when they get older.
Step4
Filled Up Time Capsule
Finally, this is what your Time Capsule will look like filled to the top and ready to be set aside and fill up a new one for the coming year.
Tips & Warnings
Find a Time Capsule you like and can not wait to fill up
Allow your toddlers or children to help fill it up with you
Fill up the Time Capsule whenever there is a special item you want to remember
This could become addictive and you will want to do this every year or every other year

Great article! Time capsules are so much fun. I also like to make a list of predictions or things I hope to have happened in my life before I open the time capsule. It can be really fun looking back and laughing at some of the things you thought you wanted or expected or check off the things that did happen.
